Hi, I'm Meg, welcome to Koselig!
I started my journey of providing space for others in 2021, with the creation of Wellness Walks where the aim was to gather mainly women together to be able to hike out in the country, without feeling the dangers or worries women feel when walking alone. In the background I was recovering from Spinal Surgery which had left me with 2 titanium rods in my back, and I felt like I had started my yoga journey from scratch. But when I went hunting for yoga on social media to do at home, I saw a sea of sexiness and back bends galore, which actually made me feel the opposite of zen. This made me think that I didn't fit within the realms to do yoga, that I wasn't suited to do it, or to even attend a yoga class. I thought I'd be laughed out of a class when I didn't know the names of poses! This made me wonder, what about those of us who struggle with back bends and arm balances? Aren't super thin and tanned, and maybe look like a beetroot after a yoga session? All of these things combined has lead me into creating a mini world of wellness, one where all genders, all abilities, all sizes are welcomed at Koselig regardless if you can touch your toes, or not. So an accredited 200 hour YTT certificate and a certified CBE fitness instructor later, and here we are. Ready to welcome new faces into this cosy space!
